Job summary

Girard's Foodservice Dressings is hiring for an hourly sanitation position reporting to the Sanitation Supervisor. The role supports food safety programs and sanitation activities in a full-time capacity at our California facility.

Responsibilities include cleaning, CIP/COP, equipment disassembly for sanitation, ERP transactions, chemical titration, and adherence to SOPs, GMPs, safety rules, and PPE requirements. Forklift operation and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Basic computer skills for ERP and reporting.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Detail oriented with accurate record keeping.
• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Sanitation Supervisor in coordinating food safety programs.
• Work with water, chemicals and detergents to clean equipment and areas.
• Wash down equipment, floors, walls, ceilings as needed.
• Perform COP and CIP procedures.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment for sanitation.
• Handle ERP transactions and sanitation registrations.
• Titrate chemical use and maintain records.
• Ensure SOPs, GMPs, and safety rules are followed.
• Assist with cleaning other primary areas to protect food safety.
• Follow company sanitation procedures and perform lock-out/tag-out when required.
• Remove trash and support other duties as assigned.

SCOPE OF JOB FUNCTION

• Work with water, chemicals and detergents for the purpose of cleaning and sanitizing equipment, walls, floors, ceilings, and other areas as needed.
• Wash down equipment and floors.
• Performs COP and CIP.
• Performs disassembling and reassembly of equipment when needed for sanitation purposes.
• Responsible for ERP Transaction and sanitation registration.
• Performs titration on chemical use.
• Assures that SOP's, GMP's, and safety rules are strictly followed.
• May be required to clean other primary areas as needed to ensure food safety and quality.
• Strictly follow the established company sanitation procedures.
• Perform Lock-out, Tag-out on any equipment.
• Remove trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
