Fort Lauderdale, FL, Fort Lauderdale, FL — First Shift (with accountability across 2nd and 3rd shift) seeks a Sanitation Manager to own the sanitation program for a high‑volume food manufacturing operation. Lead from first shift and direct Supervisors across 2nd/3rd shifts to ensure hygiene, audit readiness, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of sanitation leadership experience in food manufacturing.
• Proven ability to lead teams across a multi‑shift operation.
• Strong knowledge of food safety systems — GMPs, HACCP, SSOPs.
• Experience supporting or leading GFSI third‑party audits (SQF, BRC, etc.).
• Track record of driving process improvement and managing KPIs.
• Strong leadership, communication, and people development skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full sanitation function across all three shifts — coverage, execution, and standards.
• Direct, coach, and develop the 2nd/3rd shift Supervisors and crews.
• Run master sanitation schedule and pre‑op program for equipment and facility.
• Maintain audit readiness for internal, customer, and third‑party audits.
• Ensure GMPs, HACCP, FSMA, FDA, and OSHA compliance.
• Partner with Quality, Production, and Maintenance to sequence sanitation.
• Drive continuous improvement in sanitation efficiency, chemical spend, and labor usage.
• Own the sanitation chemical program (vendor mgmt, inventory, storage).
• Support environmental monitoring and cleaning verification; address deviations.
