Job summary

Maker's Pride seeks a sanitation associate for 2nd shift in Grand Rapids, MI. You will follow established SSOPs to clean production equipment, ensuring safety, hygiene and food safety. You may document sanitation activities and report progress to supervision.

Familiarity with COP/CIP, MSS/PEM, and chemical testing is preferred. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and basic Microsoft Office skills; bilingual ability is a plus.

Qualifications

• Six months of sanitation production experience preferred.
• Must be able to read and understand safety guidelines.
• Experience with MS Office is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize idle production equipment following SSOPs.
• Verify cleans and programs; record activities and issues.
• Notify supervisor of supply needs and any non-routine issues.

3:30PM - 12:00AM / Weekend work may be required. (Must have Industrial Food Sanitation Experience)

Job Summary

Follows procedures and SSOPs to perform cleaning on production equipment to ensure safety, hygiene, and food safety. May record information to reflect sanitation activities and issues. Advises/updates supervisor/manager of progress and or other non-routine issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Follows established procedures in the cleaning and sanitation of idle production equipment. Completes activities and verification for cleans and programs including MSS, PEM, and Non-PEM. Advises supervisor when supplies need to be ordered. Familiarity and understanding of testing for chemical concentrations. Familiarity with chemicals and their purpose and uses. Familiarity with COP and CIP systems. Aerial lift operation.

Physical Demands

Must be capable of being productive on third-shift scheduling. In addition, some facilities are multi-level and may require ascending or descending stairs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Language Skills

English Language Proficiency. Must be able to read, write, and speak English clearly to understand work instructions, safety guidelines, document issues, and communicate effectively with team members and leadership. Spanish is a plus.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; at least six months experience in a sanitation production environment preferred. Supervisory skills are desired. Must have some Microsoft Office skills.

Work Environment

Multi-shift production operations may be expansive, noisy, wet/humid and vary in temperature from refrigerated environment, ambient or warm in summer months depending on facility.
