Job summary

Maker’s Pride, LLC is seeking a sanitation worker for the 3rd shift (11:30PM–8:00AM), Sunday through Thursday, with possible weekend work. The role focuses on cleaning production equipment following SSOPs to ensure safety, hygiene, and food safety.

Candidates may record sanitation activity and report issues to supervision. Required is at least six months in a sanitation environment; English proficiency is essential, with Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking to follow work instructions and safety guidelines.
• Six months sanitation production experience preferred.
• Supervisory skills are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures in cleaning and sanitation of idle production equipment.
• Complete activities and verification for cleans and programs including MSS, PEM, and Non-PEM.
• Advise supervisor when supplies need to be ordered.
• Familiarity with testing chemical concentrations.
• Familiarity with COP and CIP systems.
• Operate aerial lift.

Job Summary:

• Follows procedures and SSOPs to perform cleaning on production equipment to ensure safety, hygiene, and food safety. May record information to reflect sanitation activities and issues. Advises/updates supervisor/manager of progress and or other non-routine issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follows established procedures in the cleaning and sanitation of idle production equipment.
• Completes activities and verification for cleans and programs including MSS, PEM, and Non-PEM.
• Advises supervisor when supplies need to be ordered.
• Familiarity and understanding of testing for chemical concentrations.
• Familiarity with chemicals and their purpose and uses.
• Familiarity with COP and CIP systems.
• Aerial lift operation.

Qualifications:

• Must be capable of being productive on third-shift scheduling. In addition, some facilities are multi-level and may require ascending or descending stairs.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Language Skills:

• English Language Proficiency. Must be able to read, write, and speak English clearly to understand work instructions, safety guidelines, document issues, and communicate effectively with team members and leadership.
• Spanish is a plus.

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; at least six months experience in a sanitation production environment preferred.
• Supervisory skills are desired.
• Must have some Microsoft Office skills.

Work Environment:

• The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
• Multi-shift production operations may be expansive, noisy, wet/humid and vary in temperature from refrigerated environment, ambient or warm in summer months depending on facility.
