Job summary

Maker’s Pride, LLC in Michigan is seeking a sanitation technician for 1st shift to clean production equipment and ensure food safety. You will follow SSOPs, record sanitation activities, and keep supervisors updated on progress and issues.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, at least six months in a sanitation production environment, English proficiency, and familiarity with MS Office. Spanish is a plus; supervision skills are desirable. Multi-shift environments may apply.

Responsibilities

• Clean production equipment following SSOPs to ensure safety and hygiene.
• Record sanitation activities and inform supervisor of progress or issues.
• Advise supervisor when supplies need to be ordered.
• Verify cleans and programs (MSS, PEM, and Non-PEM) as required.
• Maintain familiarity with chemicals and their purposes.
• Operate aerial lifts as needed.

1st shift: 7:30AM to 4:00PM /Monday thru Friday / Weekend work may be required

(Must have Industrial Food Sanitation Experience)

Job Summary:

• Follows procedures and SSOPs to perform cleaning on production equipment to ensure safety, hygiene, and food safety. May record information to reflect sanitation activities and issues. Advises/updates supervisor/manager of progress and or other non-routine issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follows established procedures in the cleaning and sanitation of idle production equipment.


• Completes activities and verification for cleans and programs including MSS, PEM, and Non-PEM.


• Advises supervisor when supplies need to be ordered.


• Familiarity and understanding of testing for chemical concentrations.


• Familiarity with chemicals and their purpose and uses.


• Familiarity with COP and CIP systems.


• Aerial lift operation.

Qualifications:

Language Skills:

• English Language Proficiency
  Must be able to read, write, and speak English clearly to understand work instructions, safety guidelines, document issues, and communicate effectively with team members and leadership.


• Spanish is a plus.

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; at least six months experience in a sanitation production environment preferred.


• Supervisory skills are desired.


• Must have some Microsoft Office skills.

Work Environment:

• Multi-shift production operations may be expansive, noisy, wet/humid and vary in temperature from refrigerated environment, ambient or warm in summer months depending on facility.
