Job summary

Golden State Foods is seeking a sanitation supervisor to oversee daily sanitation and janitorial operations in our food processing environment. You will manage start-up readiness, inventory, and staff scheduling while ensuring compliance with GMP, SSOP, and OSHA standards.

The role requires 6–10 years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing, strong knowledge of sanitation and food safety, and the ability to train and lead a team to achieve production quality goals.

Qualifications

• AA degree in food science or business administration from an accredited institution; Degree not needed (reflecting wording in posting)
• 6–10 years of relevant supervisory experience in a food-manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of food processing, sanitation concepts, quality assurance, and OSHA/HACCP/SSOP requirements
• Ability to supervise up to 20 hourly employees and manage staff scheduling

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day sanitation and janitorial protocols to meet production quality objectives
• Oversee pre-operation start-up and ensure equipment re-assembly is timely and clean
• Maintain daily inventory of sanitation supplies
• Provide instructions and feedback to staff to meet productivity targets
• Identify and resolve sanitation/process problems to maintain quality
• Promote continuous improvement and SOP adherence
• Train and inform employees on policies and objectives
• Order supplies as needed
• Perform other related duties as assigned
