Job summary

Mcduffies Of Scotland Inc is seeking a Sandwich Maker / Counter Associate to join our breakfast and lunch program in a fast-paced kitchen and storefront environment. You will prepare signature bagel sandwiches, assist customers at the counter, and ensure orders meet quality and presentation standards while delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• Friendly, positive attitude and excellent customer service skills.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 40 pounds.
• Previous food service, deli, restaurant, or sandwich shop experience is preferred but not required - we’ll train the right person.
• Must be able to work early morning shifts beginning at 6:00 AM.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast and lunch bagel sandwiches according to recipes and assembly guides.
• Toast bagels and assemble sandwiches quickly and accurately.
• Portion ingredients and maintain consistent product quality.
• Stock and organize the sandwich station throughout the shift.
• Prepare ingredients for service, including slicing, portioning, and replenishing supplies.
• Assist customers by taking orders, answering questions, and making menu recommendations.
• Operate the POS system and process customer transactions.
• Keep the kitchen, prep areas, and customer counter clean and sanitized.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Assist with opening duties, including setting up the sandwich station and preparing for the day's business.
• Work with the team to maintain fast service while delivering a great customer experience.
