Job summary

MetalTek International in Wisconsin is seeking a Sandblast Operator to remove ceramic, sand, and scale from castings to achieve the desired finish. You will position castings on a table, operate the sandblast nozzle, and adjust air and abrasive mixtures to complete the cleaning.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, strong prioritizing and planning skills, and a willingness to train. Training will be provided to ensure safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Prior experience removing excess materials with sandblaster.
• Willing to train.

• Ability to work with little supervision.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate mechanical sandblast equipment to remove ceramic, sand, scale, etc., from castings to obtain the desired finish.
• Position castings on table in proper position for cleaning.
• Operate the sandblast nozzle to complete the cleaning operation.
• Reposition castings, change nozzle and/or hose, fill hopper with proper materials, and adjust air and abrasive mixture as required.
