Job summary

Eurofins USA Food Testing in Madison, Wisconsin is seeking a detail-oriented Sample Entry Technician to support Sample Entry, Prep, and lab operations. You will move samples between departments, monitor locations, and ensure accurate barcode scanning.

The role requires a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Practical duties include communicating issues to supervisors, adherence to GMP/GLP, and willingness to work overtime as needed.

• Proactively communicates any issues and concerns about sample movements to the supervisor or lab leaders.
• Ensuring every barcode is scanned and the sample has the correct location assigned.
• Occasionally work in sample disposal area.
• Communicates discrepancies to appropriate personnel.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Description

Performs a variety of duties in support of departmental operations within Sample Entry, Prep, and the lab to ensure that samples are moved accurately and efficiently between departments.

Additional Information

• Overtime and weekend work as required.
• Will be exposed to potential food allergens (ex. Milk, tree nuts, peanuts, fish, shellfish, etc.).
• Physical requirements include, but not are limited to, walking, standing, bending, reaching and lifting. May work in walk-in cold storage units.
• Expected to understand the process for handling hazardous wastes and receive on-the-job training for handling specific waste types in their job area.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. for short periods of time.
• Work may requires use of PPE (personal protective equipment).
