Job summary

ALS USA Inc. in Elko, NV seeks a Sample Preparation Technician (P2) to process client samples for analysis in our labs. The role involves ringing, sieving, crushing, and layout tasks under supervision, plus maintaining production logs and ensuring lab cleanliness.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading drying ovens, handling compositing, and following ALS safety policies. The candidate should work independently or as part of a team, with basic English communication and good manual dexterity.

Position Overview

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Physical Demands

• Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work in a hot and dusty environment
• Manual dexterity to perform repetitive tasks
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs; sometimes continuously (occasionally lifting may exceed 50lbs and assistance is mandatory from either another employee or the lift assist equipment)
• Ability to sit at a desk and do general office work, which includes periodic sedentary responsibilities
• Be cleanly-shaven in order to wear protective equipment
