ALS seeks an entry-level lab support technician to assist in the Organics Air analysis lab and related areas. You will follow SOPs, document outcomes, operate lab instruments, and help prepare and repair sample media used in air testing.
The role emphasizes quality, safety, and collaboration with the lab team. Applicants should have a high school diploma, strong computer skills (Excel/Word), and good organization.

The primary purpose of this position is to be responsible for assisting in the Organics Air analysis lab (and possibly other areas of the Lab as needed) performing various support duties related to air samples/testing and the preparation and repair of the sample media. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Able to speak and hear clearly while communicating with staff, management, and clients. Able to sit and/or stand for up to 100% of an 8-hour workday. Able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Dexterity in hands and fingers to operate computers, laboratory instruments, and other equipment. Must have adequate vision to read reports, perform laboratory tasks, and operate equipment safely. Ability to distinguish differences in color and shade. Ability to perform repetitive motion activities. Must have average vision and able to see to read reports and operate equipment; Hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
