Job summary

ALS is seeking a Sample Preparation Technician (P2) to work in the Sample Preparation Department, handling client samples and preparing them for analysis in our labs. You will perform ringing, sieving (including International Soils), crushing and splitting under supervision, load and unload drying ovens, and maintain your own production logs.

You will also help with layout tasks, conduct routine equipment inspections, and ensure compliance with ALS safety policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to sit or stand for long periods.
• Ability to work in a hot and dusty environment.
• Manual dexterity for repetitive tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; assistance may be required.
• Ability to sit at a desk for general office work, which includes periodic sedentary responsibilities.
• Be cleanly-shaven to wear protective equipment.
