Job summary

ALS is seeking a Sample Preparation Technician (P2) in Tucson, AZ to work with client samples and prepare them for analysis in our labs. You will perform ringing, sieving, crushing, splitting under supervision, and operate drying ovens as needed, while maintaining production logs and keeping the workspace clean.

The role requires good hand-eye coordination, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or with a team.

Responsibilities

• Ringing, sieving (including International Soils), crushing, splitting under direct supervision.
• Loading and unloading drying ovens under supervision.
• Maintain own production logs; general cleaning duties for basic lab cleanliness.
• May assist with layout duties/tasks.
• Handling compositing, screen metallics, special handling requests, etc.
• Inspecting equipment and inform senior employee if adjustment is required; analytical quality.
