Job summary

Lowes Foods in Lexington, SC is seeking a friendly, guest-oriented team member for deli department duties. You will greet guests, assist with products, prepare items for sale, and help maintain freshness and sanitation.

Position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally, and communicate effectively with guests and team members. Must be 18+ and able to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests.
• Perform duties in fast-paced environment while interacting with guests and team members.
• Explain products available in specific area (ingredients, flavors, menu items).
• Provide samples to guests and explain offerings.
• Prepare product for sale (frying, cutting, slicing, weighing, pricing and cooking).
• Maintain product level, quality and freshness per station guidelines.
• Maintain sanitation standards in cooler, freezer, prep area and sales area.
• Communicate guest requests to management and satisfy requests promptly.
• Communicate temperature and product breakdowns to supervisor.
• Keep supply and work area neat, clean and tidy.
• Maintain proper grooming and uniform standards.
• Performs front end duties to ensure “no noticeable wait” standard.
• Announce specials and sale information on PA system.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
