Job summary

Lowes Foods in Columbia, SC is seeking a friendly, reliable team member for our deli department. You will greet guests, slice and prepare deli products, and help maintain fresh, appealing displays while providing excellent service.

Ideal candidates are customer-oriented, able to lift 25 lbs regularly, and able to stand for extended periods. You will assist with receiving and stocking, and communicate guest requests to management. Must be at least 18 years old. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests.
• Prepare deli products for sale (frying, cutting, slicing, weighing, pricing).
• Maintain deli product level, quality and freshness.
• Uphold sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, prep area and sales area.
• Communicate guest requests to management.
• Communicate temperature breakdowns to supervisor.
• Keep supply area neat, clean and tidy at all times.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
• Performs front porch duties to insure “guest arrival” standard is maintained.
• Announce specials and sale info on the PA system.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.
