Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC in Kernersville, NC is seeking a deli associate to provide friendly guest service and support deli department activities.

You will greet guests, explain products, provide samples, cut and prepare items, maintain freshness and sanitation, stock, and ensure a quick, courteous checkout experience. This role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with guests.
• Perform duties in a fast-paced environment while interacting with guests and team members.
• Explain products available in the deli area (ingredients, flavors, menu items).
• Actively provide samples to guests and explain offerings as needed.
• Efficiently prepare deli products for sale (frying, cutting, slicing, weighing, pricing and cooking).
• Maintain product level, quality and freshness according to station guidelines.
• Maintain sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, prep area and sales area.
• Communicate guest requests to management and/or satisfy requests in a timely manner.
• Communicate temperature and/or product breakdowns to supervisor.
• Keep supply and work area neat, clean and tidy at all times.
• Maintain proper grooming and uniform standard.
• Support front-end duties to ensure no noticeable wait at checkout.
• Announce specials and sale information over the PA system.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
