Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Sales and Use Tax Compliance Manager to ensure client satisfaction through high-quality deliverables. The role requires deep tax compliance knowledge, project leadership, and mentoring peers with a focus on process improvements and automation.

Experience with Vertex and tax software is essential. Responsibilities include reviewing returns and reconciliations, onboarding new engagements, supervising a tax team, and maintaining client relationships while supporting firm

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in sales and use tax compliance.
• Experience supervising tax professionals on a project or engagement basis.
• Experience preparing and/or reviewing sales and use tax returns.

Responsibilities

• Maintains client satisfaction and supports sales tax compliance operations.
• Reviews prepared returns, filings and reconciliations; approves confirmations and invoices.
• Leads projects around process improvements and firm initiatives, including amended returns.
• Mentors associates and seniors; provides training and guidance on tax software and procedures.
• Serves as primary contact for onboarding and new engagements; manages contracts and client relationships.
