Job summary

Sun Tan City is seeking an Assistant Salon Director to drive store performance, supervise Tanning Consultants, and sustain a high-energy, client-centric environment. You will lead by example in sales, service excellence, and operations, while mentoring staff to meet goals and maintain margins.

The role requires strong leadership, customer service, and the ability to work nights and weekends. A college education is preferred but not required; previous management or sales experience is helpful.

Qualifications

• College education preferred, but not required.
• Management and/or Sales experience preferred, but not required.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
• Problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Strong leadership skills with ability to coach and mentor.
• Team-building abilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage daily salon operations.
• Lead by example in sales, service, and operations.
• Maintain a clean, professional salon environment.
• Establish goals for team members and drive performance.
• Provide coaching and feedback to improve daily performance.
• Generate sales reports, maintain inventory, assist with director functions.
• Help control revenue and expenses, supporting top-line growth.
• Maintain staffing levels for productivity and service quality; manage labor costs.
• Availability to work nights, Saturdays and Sundays as needed.
• Reliable transportation for bank visits and other duties.
• Work five days per week, ~40–45 hours depending on status.
