Job summary

Milan Institute is seeking a Customer Service Specialist for our student salon floor in Amarillo, TX. You will be the face of the institution, ensuring a superior client experience while assisting in scheduling, payments, and promoting salon services.

You will collaborate with instructors and students to coordinate bookings, maintain a professional environment, and support student development in cosmetology and beauty services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality training preferred.
• Experience in customer service, preferably in beauty/salon settings.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for students, clients, and staff.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for scheduling and operations.
• Willingness to work evenings/weekends based on salon hours.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome clients professionally to create a positive first impression.
• Assist clients with scheduling, preferences, and inquiries.
• Coordinate with instructors and students to manage client bookings and operations.
• Provide exceptional service and attend to clients’ needs throughout the visit.
• Maintain a clean, organized salon floor and workstations.
• Handle complaints professionally and work toward resolutions.
• Process payments and manage cash register transactions.
• Promote salon services and promotions to encourage repeat business and referrals.
• Stay updated with industry trends and product knowledge to advise clients and students.
• Assist with other administrative tasks and salon projects as needed.
