Job summary

Beach Bum Tanning is seeking an energetic Salon Manager to oversee daily operations at our New Jersey location. You will lead staff, ensure exceptional guest service, manage schedules, and drive revenue while upholding brand standards.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in sales and leadership, strong communication skills, and a hands-on approach to coaching and development. Flexible availability, plus proficiency in MS Office, are preferred; tanning or wellness industry experience is a plus.

• Demonstrated leadership experience in retail, service, or sales.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Position Summary

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a retail, service, hospitality, or sales environment
• Ability to work effectively in a team‑driven, fast‑paced environment
• 2–3 years of successful sales experience
• 2–3 years of management or supervisory experience, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management
• Strong commitment to meeting and exceeding sales and operational goals
• Passion for maintaining a polished, welcoming store appearance
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays; on‑call support required
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and general computer skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Adherence to loss‑prevention and compliance standards
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
• Prior experience in tanning, beauty, wellness, fitness, or spa services is beneficial but not required
