Job summary

Beach Bum Tanning & Airbrush Salon in Sea Girt, NJ seeks an energetic Salon Manager to oversee daily operations at our tanning and wellness location. You will lead a high-performing team, deliver exceptional guest service, and drive revenue through smart staffing and promotions.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of sales and 3+ years of management experience, strong communication, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of sales experience.
• Minimum 3 years of management or supervisory experience.
• Experience in retail, service, hospitality or sales environment.
• Flexibility including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Position Summary

As the Salon Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall success of the salon, ensuring a positive guest experience, and developing a high-performing team. This role requires a hands–on leader who can balance customer service, team management, and operational excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a retail, service, hospitality, or sales environment
• Ability to work effectively in a team-driven, fast-paced environment
• 2–3 years of successful sales experience
• 2–3 years of management or supervisory experience, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management
• Strong commitment to meeting and exceeding sales and operational goals
• Passion for maintaining a polished, welcoming store appearance
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays; on-call support required
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and general computer skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Adherence to loss-prevention and compliance standards
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
• Prior experience in tanning, beauty, wellness, fitness, or spa services is beneficial but not required
