Job summary

SunTanCity is seeking a hands-on Assistant Salon Director to maintain a high-energy, positive environment and drive store performance. You will supervise Tanning Consultants, model excellent client service, and lead by example to achieve productivity goals.

The role requires managing schedules, coaching staff, and ensuring a safe, clean salon. Flexibility with hours and a commitment to growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• College education preferred but not required.
• Management and/or sales experience required.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple situations simultaneously.
• Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
• Problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor while knowing supervisory practices.
• Team-building skills.
• Ability to prioritize and delegate.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage daily operations of the salon in a fast-paced environment.
• Lead by example in all company operations including creating a client-centric experience and meeting personal sales expectations.
• Maintain a professional and impeccably clean salon environment.
• Establish clear goals and objectives for team members.
• Provide coaching, training, and feedback to improve daily performance.
• Generate sales reports, maintain inventory, and assist with other Salon Director functions.
• Assist the Salon Director in controlling topline revenue and expenses.
• Help maintain proper staffing levels to ensure maximum productivity and excellent customer service while controlling labor costs.
• Ability to work nights as well as Saturdays and Sundays as required to provide management coverage.
• Have reliable transportation to get to the bank as needed.
• Candidates should expect to work five days per week, and a 35-40 hour work schedule.
