Job summary

JCPenney Salon seeks a Salon Manager (Exempt) to lead the team, coach stylists, and deliver an exceptional client experience while driving retail and service results. The role focuses on coaching, recruiting, training, and maintaining high standards in merchandising and client service.

The manager will ensure consistent execution of programs, maintain a positive, inclusive environment, and uphold JCPenney values across the salon.

Responsibilities

• Leads by example in client interactions and coaches stylists to deliver an exceptional client experience.
• Proactively recruits qualified stylists through social media, recruiting sites, referrals, and local salons/cosmetology schools.
• Reviews salon performance reports to identify opportunities and sets direction to improve productivity, referrals, rebooking, and client acquisition.
• Schedules and ensures training for associates on Core and Artistic Education, driving career development.
• Manages merchandising and backbar opportunities, maintaining standards and controlling expenses.
• Keeps the salon aligned with company programs and compliance, including safety regulations and attendance expectations.
