Job summary

Cleveland Plant & Flower Company in Parma is seeking a dependable Sales Representative for our wholesale floral operation. This hands-on, B2B role combines relationship-based sales, customer service, and teamwork to serve florists, event planners and other businesses.

You will train by shadowing an experienced sales team, develop new business, maintain client relationships, and support morning operations with our delivery and warehouse teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business through prospecting, outreach, and customer visits, both within the floral industry and among other businesses that can use our products.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing customers, identify their needs, and recommend fresh flowers and floral supplies.
• Actively sell available fresh flowers and floral supplies, including vases, boxes, and other floral essentials.
• Stay in regular contact with customers about orders, flower shipments, and delivery updates.
• Learn flower varieties, product characteristics, seasonal availability, and floral industry trends.
• Assist with morning receiving, including breaking down pallets of boxed flowers and checking incoming shipments for quantity and condition.
• Help drivers load delivery vans so orders can get on the road promptly.
• Count fresh cooler inventory every other week and help maintain accurate product counts.
• Work closely with the sales, warehouse, and delivery teams to resolve customer needs and keep daily operations moving.

Training and work environment

You will receive hands-on training by shadowing a current representative and learning from our experienced sales team. Mornings include operational support; the remainder of the day focuses on active selling, customer communication, prospecting, and customer visits.

Schedule and seasonal expectations

The role starts at 6:00 a.m. to support morning operations. Parma store hours are 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.

During peak floral holidays—including Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, and Sweetest Day—additional hours may be required before and/or after the regular shift to meet customer demand and support operations. Flexibility during these busy periods is an expectation of the position.

Sales tools and equipment

Sales calls will be made using a personal cell phone or a provided store landline. A company-provided laptop or desktop computer will be supplied upon hire for business use only. The company’s ERP system is a web based state-of-the-art operational platform.
