We're looking for a warm, sales-minded Retail Customer Service & Inbound Phone Sales Associate to be one of the first voices and faces our customers experience.

You’ll answer incoming phone orders, help walk-in customers find the right arrangement or gift, and make sure every order is entered accurately — from the recipient's address to the exact wording on the card.

This is a great fit for someone who enjoys people, isn’t afraid to suggest an upgrade, and takes pride in getting the details right.

What You'll Do

• Answer inbound phone calls promptly and professionally, and convert callers into confident, satisfied customers
• Recommend the right arrangement, price point, and add-ons (premium tiers, vases, chocolates, balloons, plush) for each occasion — upselling naturally, without being pushy
• Accurately enter phone and walk-in orders into our point-of-sale system, capturing recipient details, delivery instructions, and card messages exactly as requested
• Confirm and clearly document any special requests or changes to existing orders so nothing gets lost between sales and design
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to walk-in customers shopping for flowers, plants, and retail gifts
• Operate the register and process payments accurately
• Coordinate with the design and delivery teams on order timing, substitutions, and last-minute changes
• Gather initial details on wedding and event inquiries and route them to our events team
• Help with opening/closing duties, restocking, and keeping the retail floor looking its best
• Bring a positive, can-do attitude during our busiest stretches — Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Christmas, wedding season, and other peak periods
• Other duties as assigned

What You Bring

1. 1+ years of customer service, retail, or call center experience preferred
2. Strong verbal communication and active listening skills
3. Comfortable multitasking — answering a ringing phone while helping a walk-in customer
4. Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software quickly
5. A sales-oriented mindset — comfortable suggesting an upgrade or add-on when it genuinely fits the customer's need
6. Reliable, punctual, and a genuine team player
7. Available to work a schedule that includes weekend shifts
8. High school diploma or equivalent
9. Floral or plant knowledge is a plus, but not required — we’ll train you on our products

Physical Requirements

• Stand for extended periods during shifts
• Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 lbs (product boxes, buckets, arrangements)
• Use a phone headset and computer for extended periods

Schedule & Compensation

This is a full-time position, approximately 30–40 hours per week, including weekend shifts. Pay: $18-$20.00 per hour to start, based on experience
