Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a Salesforce Developer II to design world-class Salesforce applications for our evolving CRM requirements.

You will develop code-based solutions on the Salesforce platform and work closely with Business Analysts and Salesforce Administrators to meet business needs and drive decisions. Additionally, you will design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards and data visualizations, support Tableau Server/Cloud deployments, and ensure secure,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering preferred.
• Platform Developer II Certification (preferred).
• 4+ years of Salesforce development experience.
• Experience developing customer-facing interfaces.
• Experience writing Apex classes and triggers.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication and data presentation skills.
• Understanding of Salesforce architecture and API.
• Experience using GitHub or other version control software.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with other applications.
• 2+ years of experience developing dashboards using Tableau.
• Experience working with Salesforce data and objects.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and data analysis.
• Experience with Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server/Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements, translating those requirements into customized Salesforce solutions.
• Design, code, and implement Salesforce applications.
• Develop Apex classes/triggers, Lightning Components, and Visualforce to extend Salesforce capabilities.
• Assist in estimation of work effort and scheduling for development.
• Assist with release cycles to deploy updates to applications and code.
• Develop integrations from Salesforce to internal and external services.
• Test stability and functionality of applications.
• Troubleshoot and fix bugs.
• Maintain security and integrity of applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards and data visuals.
• Support Tableau Server/Cloud deployments, publishing, scheduling, and refreshes.
