Job summary

Catalyst Consulting Group in Chicago is seeking a skilled Salesforce Developer to build customized solutions for public sector clients. You will leverage Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components while implementing Salesforce managed packages to extend platform capabilities.

Responsibilities include stakeholder collaboration, integration with enterprise systems, and ensuring code quality with best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Salesforce Developer, specifically working with public sector clients.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce platform features, capabilities, and limitations.
  • Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components, and other Salesforce development tools.
  • Experience implementing and configuring Salesforce managed packages.
  • Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like AngularJS or React.
  • Knowledge of integration technologies and patterns (REST, SOAP, APIs, etc.) for integrating Salesforce with external systems.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
  • Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into scalable Salesforce solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and interact with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand and analyze business requirements for public sector clients.
  • Design and develop customized solutions on the Salesforce platform using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components, and other Salesforce technologies.
  • Collaborate with technical and functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Salesforce with other enterprise systems.
  • Configure and customize Salesforce managed packages to address specific client needs and extend platform capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain Salesforce solutions, ensuring code quality, best practices, and adherence to coding standards.
  • Collaborate with the QA team to ensure the delivery of robust, reliable, and scalable solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stay up-to-date with Salesforce releases, new features, and emerging technologies, and provide recommendations on their applicability to public sector projects.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and standards.
  • Document technical designs, configurations, and development processes.
  • Occasional travel for client onsite may be required for this role.

We are expanding our footprint across North America and look forward to starting many new projects in the next few months. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Salesforce Developer with a strong background in building customized solutions on the Salesforce platform specifically for public sector clients. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem, be proficient in Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components, and possess expertise in implementing Salesforce managed packages.

Contractors are also welcome to apply. Contractors would be compensated $60/Hour and be expected to commit 40 hours per week.

How we’ll set you up for success (Full-Time Salary):

  • Salary range of $90,000 to $120,000 a year*
