Compensation: $112K to $115K plus bonus (dependent upon candidate experience)

Benefits: The position is eligible for medical, dental, vision

Position Overview

We are seeking a technically strong, business-minded Salesforce Administrator to take ownership of a growing Salesforce environment and serve as a key technical and functional resource across the organization. This is not a pure Salesforce development role and it is not a traditional ticket-taking administrator position. The ideal candidate is someone who can sit down with a business stakeholder, understand the problem they are trying to solve, and determine how Salesforce should address it.

You should be comfortable saying:

"Give me the business problem and I'll figure out how Salesforce should solve it."

This person will operate as a Salesforce SME and essentially a team of one, managing their own priorities, projects, platform enhancements and day-to-day administration without significant hand-holding. The role combines Salesforce administration, light development, business analysis, solution design, stakeholder engagement and platform optimization.

What You'll Do
  • Own, administer and continuously optimize the Salesforce platform.
  • Partner directly with business users, functional leaders and senior stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into scalable Salesforce solutions.
  • Gather and document requirements, challenge assumptions when appropriate, and recommend solutions rather than simply taking orders.
  • Configure Salesforce using best practices across objects, fields, validation rules, permission sets, security, workflows and other platform capabilities.
  • Build, maintain and optimize Salesforce Flows and declarative automation.
  • Perform light Apex development, debugging and troubleshooting when configuration alone is not sufficient.
  • Work with and troubleshoot Lightning Web Components (LWC) as needed.
  • Support and manage REST APIs and Salesforce integrations with other business systems.
  • Manage data imports, cleansing, deduplication, validation and overall data integrity.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards and other Salesforce analytics.
  • Troubleshoot complex Salesforce issues and identify root causes rather than simply resolving individual tickets.
  • Train users, provide guidance and improve Salesforce adoption across the organization.
  • Help establish scalable processes, governance and best practices around the Salesforce environment.
  • Manage multiple projects and competing priorities independently from requirements gathering through implementation.
  • Stay current with Salesforce capabilities and identify opportunities to improve the platform and business processes.
  • Support the continued evolution of the organization's Salesforce data and automation capabilities.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce Administration experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce configuration, administration and platform capabilities.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Lightning.
  • Strong experience building Flows and declarative automation.
  • Ability to perform light Apex development and debugging.
  • Exposure to Lightning Web Components (LWC).
  • Experience working with REST APIs and Salesforce integrations.
  • Strong understanding of custom objects, validation rules, permission sets, profiles, roles and Salesforce security.
  • Experience with Salesforce reporting and dashboard development.
  • Experience managing data imports, data cleanup, deduplication and data integrity.
  • Strong requirements-gathering and Business Analyst capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work directly with business users and senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively and manage multiple projects without significant direction.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field or equivalent relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications

Salesforce Data Cloud experience is a major differentiator. The organization is continuing to evolve its data capabilities, making candidates with hands-on Data Cloud experience particularly valuable. Additional experience with Salesforce Agentforce is highly desirable. Candidates who understand the direction Salesforce is taking with Data Cloud, AI and Agentforce, while still enjoying hands‑on platform administration and business partnership, will be especially relevant.

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will be:

  • Technically sharp without being exclusively technical.
  • A hands-on Salesforce Administrator who can also write and troubleshoot code when necessary.
  • A strong business analyst and problem solver.
  • Comfortable working directly with users and senior leadership.
  • Highly independent and capable of figuring things out without constant direction.
  • Someone who takes ownership rather than waiting for a ticket or detailed instructions.
  • An effective communicator who can translate technical concepts into business language.
  • Someone who understands the Salesforce ecosystem and thinks about the broader business process—not just the configuration task in front of them.
  • Willing to roll up their sleeves and get things done.
This Role Is NOT a Fit For
  • Pure Salesforce Developers who primarily want to code.
  • Junior Salesforce Administrators who require significant direction.
  • Traditional ticket-taking administrators focused primarily on reactive support.
  • Candidates who need detailed instructions for every project.
  • Candidates who struggle to communicate with nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Candidates who are uncomfortable gathering requirements, challenging business assumptions or designing solutions.
  • Candidates who want to manage a team rather than serve as a hands‑on Salesforce SME.
