Job summary

Bay Area Community Resources (BACR) is seeking a Salesforce Administrator to customize and manage Salesforce for a nonprofit setting. The role emphasizes user management, data quality, automation, and integrations with other SaaS tools.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of Salesforce Administrator or related experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Salesforce products and functionalities; Salesforce Certified Administrator.
  • Experience with SaaS integrations, user training and UX improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Customize and configure Salesforce to meet BACR needs; manage users, profiles, roles, permissions; build custom objects, fields, workflows, and validation rules; develop automation with Flow; ensure data integrity.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to configure SaaS applications; troubleshoot issues; adopt latest SaaS features that benefit users.
  • Develop and deliver Salesforce training materials and workshops; document configurations, processes and guidelines; support user adoption.
  • Collaborate with Salesforce partners and IT teammates to design and deliver solutions; gather feedback and improve systems.

Job Description: Job Title: Salesforce Administrator Reports To: Director of Data & IT Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000 annually Location: Hybrid (80% remote and 20% onsite)

Minimum Qualifications

3 to 5 years of work experience as a Salesforce Administrator or similar role Advanced knowledge of Salesforce products and their functionalities Salesforce certified administrator Experience using various software as a service (SaaS) with a focus on integrations and improving the user experience and training

Preferred

Salesforce Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Nonprofit Cloud expertise, particularly with additional certifications Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field Skill with FormAssembly Familiarity with SOQL queries, data transformations, and advanced reporting. Comfortable reading and interpreting Apex and Visualforce. Experience supporting or participating in a Salesforce migration or major implementation Non-profit experience Consulting experience, particularly with business process discovery and user story creation. Experience creating training materials and conducting 1-1 or group training Security-forward mindset and readiness to work with compliance-sensitive data (e.g., HIPAA/PHI)

Responsibilities
  • Salesforce Administration: Customize and configure Salesforce to meet the organization’s specific needs. Manage user setup, profiles, roles, and permissions. Create and maintain custom objects, fields, workflows, and validation rules. Develop and implement automation using Flow. Maintain data integrity and cleanliness by monitoring and resolving data quality issues, including de-duplication of records.
  • SaaS & Identity Administration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and configure the applications accordingly. Troubleshoot issues and provide technical support to users. Stay updated on the latest features and enhancements in SaaS applications and recommend adopting them when beneficial.
  • Training and Documentation: Develop and deliver training materials and workshops for Salesforce and other SaaS applications. Conduct training sessions for new users and provide ongoing support for existing users. Create and maintain documentation on system configurations, processes, and user guidelines. Collaborate with other departments to identify training needs and ensure effective adoption of Salesforce and SaaS applications.
  • Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with Salesforce partners to implement custom solutions and integrations. Collaborate with BACR’s existing Salesforce Administrator and other IT teammates to design and deliver solutions. Liaise with the user community to gather feedback, understand requirements, and address system issues. Proactively identify opportunities for system improvements and efficiency enhancements. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to users.
