Job summary

Tempus AI, Inc. in Chicago is seeking an experienced Salesforce Administrator to own day-to-day administration and governance of the commercial Salesforce org.

You will partner with Sales Operations, Customer Support, and Commercial Strategy to translate requirements into clear user stories, manage backlogs, run UAT, and ensure smooth releases while delivering training and job aids to users.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Business, Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• 4+ years of hands-on Salesforce administration experience, or equivalent as a Business Analyst.
• Life-science, diagnostics, or healthcare experience preferred.
• Salesforce Administrator certification (ADM-201) required or in progress; Advanced Admin or Platform App Builder a plus.
• Proficiency with declarative configuration: Flow, validation rules, record types, page layouts, permission sets, profiles, sharing models.
• Experience with Salesforce reports, dashboards, and bulk data tools such as Data Loader.
• Sandbox management and deployment practices knowledge.
• Experience gathering requirements, writing user stories, and collaborating with technical teams.
• Familiarity with Salesforce territory management; exposure to ServiceNow, Okta, Looker, Tableau is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to catch data/config problems early.
• Excellent communication and ability to interface between technical and non-technical audiences.
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day administration of the commercial Salesforce org: users, profiles, permissions, and releases.
• Maintain data cleanliness, territory alignment, and data-governance standards across accounts and contacts.
• Define requirements, translate into clear user stories, and manage backlog for Salesforce work.
• Lead UAT, test scripts, defect tracking, and coordinate release readiness with field communications.
• Provide enablement, create job aids, release notes, and ongoing training for Salesforce users.
• Act as trusted advisor to commercial stakeholders on platform capabilities and limitations.
