Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design and run a comprehensive onboarding program for new sales reps.
• Create sales playbooks, training manuals, coaching guides, and certification programs.
• Build a video training library and digital learning resources.
• Develop assessments and certification standards to measure competency.
• Lead onboarding and coaching for new reps through structured programs.
• Provide ongoing skills coaching and CRM accountability.
• Deliver engaging training on roofing and exterior products, insurance restoration, and CRM best practices.
• Run role-plays to prepare reps for real customer interactions.
• Track metrics (time to first sale, close rates, CRM compliance, retention) and prepare monthly reports.
• Leverage AI tools to create training materials and coaching documentation.

About the Role

Omari Construction is looking for a charismatic, high-energy, and highly organized Sales Training & Development Manager to build and lead our sales training program. You’ll create the systems, curriculum, and coaching that turn new hires into top performers, and help our sales and marketing teams scale with consistency and confidence.

What You’ll Do

Build our Sales Academy

• Design and run a comprehensive onboarding program for new sales reps


• Create sales playbooks, training manuals, coaching guides, and certification programs


• Build a video training library and digital learning resources


• Develop assessments and certification standards to measure competency

Onboard and Develop New Reps

• Lead new reps through a structured two-week onboarding and coaching program


• Conduct 30-, 60-, and 90-day performance reviews and build individual development plans


• Provide ongoing skills coaching, feedback, and CRM accountability

Train and Coach the Team

• Deliver engaging training on roofing and exterior products, insurance restoration, sales presentations, objection handling, negotiation, closing, territory management, and CRM best practices


• Run realistic role-plays that prepare reps for real customer interactions

Measure and Improve Performance

• Track key metrics including time to first sale, close rates, CRM compliance, retention, and revenue per rep


• Prepare monthly reports and dashboards with recommendations for leadership


• Continuously improve training based on performance data

Leverage AI and Technology

• Use AI-powered tools to create training materials, coaching documentation, and reports


• Help implement AI workflows, automation, and digital learning systems

Support Leadership and Recruiting

• Partner with leadership to identify skill gaps and develop future sales leaders


• Assist with candidate evaluation and sales competency assessments
• Support onboarding and training for other departments as needed

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience as a sales trainer or in sales training and development


• Experience in exterior remodeling, roofing, or home improvement strongly preferred, but not required


• Charismatic, energetic presenter who can command a room and keep people engaged


• Highly organized, with the ability to build systems, manage multiple programs, and track results


• Strong coaching skills and a passion for developing people


• Comfortable with CRM systems and eager to use AI and technology tools


• Data-driven mindset with experience tracking and reporting on performance metrics


• Willing and able to travel periodically as needed
