Job summary

Expeditors International is seeking a Sales Trainee in Salt Lake City. This entry-level inside sales role blends outbound prospecting with hands-on exposure to Expeditors' products and operations.

The program begins with a 6–12 month immersive operations phase, then shifts toward qualifying leads and setting first meetings for District Sales Executives. You'll learn the full shipment lifecycle, build target lists, and work closely with sales and operations teams to promote our logistics

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma, or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to complete 6–12 month operations immersion.
• Comfort with high-volume phone and email outreach.
• Resilience and persistence in handling objections and rejection.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Complete a 6–12 month operations immersion rotating through core products and services.
• Make daily outbound calls, emails, and LinkedIn touches to prospects.
• Qualify leads based on shipping profile, trade lanes and needs.
• Secure discovery meetings for District Sales Executives.
• Join customer meetings to learn consultative sales processes.
