Job summary

Expeditors offers a hands-on internship designed to teach you the processes, terminology, and skills needed for success in a fast-paced operation serving diverse customers. You’ll learn alongside Expeditors employees with various trainings and a personnel development program.

The program supports a flexible schedule, requiring at least 20 hours per week, and aims to transition you into a full-time role after graduation. You will participate in prospecting, research, and sales support activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Comfortable making outbound phone calls and engaging with new people.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Experience using Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Time management and prioritization of tasks.
• Commitment to company policies and being proactive.
• Student pursuing college degree with graduation date within the next two years or sooner.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outbound calls, email follow-ups, and other prospecting activities to identify and engage potential customers.
• Research target companies and contacts, qualify leads, and gather customer needs information.
• Schedule introductory meetings between prospects and Expeditors sales reps.
• Assist with customer visits, sales presentations, and business development initiatives.
• Collaborate with sales and operations to learn Expeditors' products and value proposition.
• Represent Expeditors professionally and deliver excellent customer service.
