Expeditors is seeking a Sales Trainee in the Salt Lake City district. This entry-level inside sales role blends outbound outreach with hands-on learning of Expeditors' products and processes.

The program begins with a 6–12 month operations immersion to build confidence and product knowledge. During immersion you will rotate through core products and collaborate with operations teams, then shift toward prospecting and setting first meetings for District Sales Executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma or equivalent experience.
• Comfort with high-volume phone and email outreach.
• Resilience and persistence in handling objections and rejection.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete a required 6 to12 month operations immersion period.
• Divide time between operations and sales development as directed.
• Learn full shipment lifecycle: booking, documentation, routing, customs clearance, delivery.
• Make daily outbound calls, emails, and LinkedIn contacts to prospects.
• Research target companies and build prospect lists aligned to district strategy.
• Qualify leads on shipping profiles, trade lanes, and decision-making structure.
• Prepare account research and pre-call briefs for meetings.
