Job summary

Circle K Shared Services in Tempe, AZ is seeking a SALES TAX STAFF OR SENIOR to manage monthly sales/use tax returns and related journal entries, work with the onshore Sales Tax Team, and ensure timely remittance in compliance with multi-state rules.

You will gather ERP data (PDI), perform research on state and local tax notices, maintain supporting schedules, assist with reconciliations, and uphold SOX controls, while prioritizing deadlines and collaborating with finance, tax, and operations.

Qualifications

• Sales tax experience required for Senior; staff level preferred.

Responsibilities

• Calculate monthly sales/use tax returns and related journal entries.
• Maintain tax records and schedules for multi-state returns.
• Gather and analyze ERP sales data (PDI).
• Assist with state and local tax notices research.
• Help reconcile tax discrepancies by analyzing accounts.
• Follow SOX controls and internal security procedures.
