Job summary

Circle K Shared Services in Tempe, AZ seeks a Sales Tax Staff or Senior to analyze sales/use tax documents and prepare return calculations and journal entries. You will work with the onshore Sales Tax Team, update a monthly tax calendar, and ensure timely remittance of all taxes.

The role requires ( Senior ) sales tax experience, advanced Excel, and familiarity with PDI, Vertex or Avalara. Strong communication and data analysis skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Senior: sales tax experience is a must; Staff: a plus.
• Strong Excel skills and computer literacy are required.

Responsibilities

• Calculate monthly sales/use tax returns and related entries.

## Staff AccountantApply: Nonstore WARNERCROS TEMPE AZ: Full time: Posted Today: R626694**JOB TITLE: SALES TAX STAFF OR SENIOR** **COMPANY:** Circle K Shared Services **DEPARTMENT:** Tax**REPORTS TO:** Indirect Tax Senior Manager **FLSA STATUS:** Exempt **POSITION SUMMARY:**Analyze sales/use tax source documents and prepare sales/use tax return calculations and related journal entries for review by the onshore Sales Tax Team members as well as adhering to and updating a monthly tax calendar to ensure all sales taxes are remitted timely. **ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:*** Calculation of the monthly sales/use and related tax returns. Trouble shoot with team on a daily basis.* Maintain tax records and related schedules associated with the Multi-State/County/City sales/use tax returns.* Gather and analyze ERP system (PDI) sales data.* Assist with research on any State and Local tax notices on a timely basis.* Assist with reconciling tax discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.* Maintain accounting controls by following SOX procedures and maintain financial security by following internal controls. **QUALIFICATIONS*** Sales tax experience is a plus if Staff and a must if Senior.* Must be computer literate in Word and an advanced Excel user.* Experience with PDI and Vertex or Avalara a plus.* Strong verbal and written communication skills.* Ability to organize and prioritize detailed information.* Proficient at problem solving and data analysis.* Strong time management skills.* Ability to organize and prioritize detailed information.* Proficient at problem solving and data analysis.* Committed and strong team player.* Detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously. **Job duties may change with or without notice.****#LI-KK1**
