Job summary

Market Performance Group (MPG) is seeking a Sales Support Specialist to support a dynamic sales team serving retailers and vendor partners. This role handles data entry, inquiries, and coordination across client and supplier systems to keep orders and information accurate.

The position offers a base salary in the $55k-$70k range, comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, 401K, paid holidays and generous paid time off, with travel up to 10% as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED plus at least 2 years in retail sales.
  • Preferred: College degree or 3+ years retail experience.
  • Strong time-management, ability to track multiple deadlines.
  • Proficient with MS Office and Teams.
  • Willing to travel up to 10% for business.

Responsibilities

  • Enter/Maintain information across Client and Customer systems.
  • Responds to questions from new and existing clients and retailers.
  • Provide support on various projects and related tasks.
  • Assist other Sales Administrators when needed.
  • Create and update purchasing information (deals, POs, setup).
  • Review information from Sales team and correct errors.
  • Maintain item submissions, website listings, pricing changes.
  • Train new Sales Support Specialists as needed.

Brief Description
Sales Support Specialist

The Sales Support Specialist role would take on a variety of responsibilities to allow our sales team(s) to more closely connect with key decision makers. Sales Support Specialists maintain day-to-day contact with both the retailer staff and supplier partner staff. They will often be the first point of contact in receiving questions about new and existing products along with inquiries into retailer specific systems.

Position Overview

The Sales Support Specialist role would take on a variety of responsibilities to allow our sales team(s) to more closely connect with key decision makers. Sales Support Specialists maintain day-to-day contact with both the retailer staff and supplier partner staff. They will often be the first point of contact in receiving questions about new and existing products along with inquiries into retailer specific systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enter/Maintain information across Client and Customer proprietary systems.
  • Responds to questions from new and existing clients, customers, and other personnel regarding error corrections, items and inventory, meetings, promotional requests, and other related questions.
  • Provides support on various projects and related tasks.
  • Assumes responsibilities for other Sales Administrators within the department when unavailable.
  • Creates, enters and updates purchasing related information (e.g. accounting deals, product returns, POs, item set-up, display set-up) using various systems/tools.
  • Reviews and researches information contained in information provided by the Sales team (e.g. overlapping accounting agreements, discontinued products, cost changes, customer complaints) To correct any errors and make recommendations on corrections needed.
  • Maintains processes on new item submissions, website listing maintenance, spreadsheets, pricing/UPC changes, client and retailer information.
  • Trains new Sales Support Specialists on job functions, as needed
Skills & Experience
  • Minimum - High School Diploma/GED and at least 2 year experience in a retail sales environment.
  • Preferred - College Degree or 3+ years in a retail sales environment.
  • Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
  • Experience with MS Office & Teams.
  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
Compensation

The expected base salary range for this position is $55,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based bonuses and other compensation programs.
