MPG is seeking a Revenue Management Specialist to drive profitable growth through managing customer financial portfolios, optimizing trade investments, deductions, and revenue-enhancing processes. Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee a substantial customer financial portfolio, including trade investments, promotional spending, pricing programs, deductions, and customer profitability.
  • Analyze financial performance and identify opportunities to improve revenue, margin, and return on investment.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews through comprehensive reporting and financial analysis.
  • Monitor customer account performance and recommend strategies to improve financial outcomes.
  • Deductions & Claims Management: Own the resolution of customer deductions and discrepancies, ensuring timely identification, validation, and recovery of funds.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to investigate root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain processes that reduce deduction frequency and improve dispute resolution efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, customer agreements, and audit requirements.

Position Overview

The Revenue Management Specialist plays a critical role in driving profitable growth through effective management of customer financial portfolios, trade investment optimization, deduction resolution, and revenue-enhancing business processes. This position serves as a strategic business partner across Sales, Finance, Customer Service, and Supply Chain functions to ensure financial excellence while delivering exceptional customer support.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities, financial acumen, and customer-focused problem-solving skills to maximize revenue performance and improve operational efficiency. This role offers a unique opportunity to build deep commercial expertise within the CPG industry and provides a defined pathway toward future Account Sales Management responsibilities.

Hybrid Work Requirements

This position follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to work a minimum of three (3) days per week in the office to support cross-functional collaboration, customer planning activities, and team engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee a substantial customer financial portfolio, including trade investments, promotional spending, pricing programs, deductions, and customer profitability.

Analyze financial performance and identify opportunities to improve revenue, margin, and return on investment.

Support monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews through comprehensive reporting and financial analysis.

Monitor customer account performance and recommend strategies to improve financial outcomes.

Deductions & Claims Management

Own the resolution of customer deductions and discrepancies, ensuring timely identification, validation, and recovery of funds.

Partner with cross-functional teams to investigate root causes and implement corrective actions

Develop and maintain processes that reduce deduction frequency and improve dispute resolution efficiency

Ensure compliance with company policies, customer agreements, and audit requirements.

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

Identify and implement process improvements that streamline workflows, increase productivity, and reduce operating costs.

Drive automation initiatives and leverage reporting tools to improve visibility and decision-making.

Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on revenue management best practices

Customer & Business Partnership

Serve as a trusted business partner to internal and external stakeholders by providing actionable insights and financial recommendations.

Collaborate with customers and account teams to address business challenges and enhance customer satisfaction.

Support contract execution, promotional planning, pricing analysis, and customer-specific financial programs.

Deliver superior customer service by proactively identifying and responding to client needs.

Strategic Support & Growth Initiatives

Provide analytical support for sales planning, forecasting, pricing decisions, and promotional effectiveness evaluations.

Develop insights that contribute to revenue growth, customer retention, and profitable expansion.

Assist account teams with business reviews, customer presentations, and strategic planning activities.

What You Bring

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business , Finance, Accounting, Economics, Sales, or related field .

Strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills .

Experience managing deductions, trade spend, claims resolution, or customer financial accounts.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and business reporting tools.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills

Preferred

Experience within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.

Knowledge of retailer deduction processes and trade promotion management.

The expected base salary range for this position is $50,000 - $85,000 annually, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based bonuses and other compensation programs.
