This position emphasizes strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving abilities as you collaborate with the sales team to meet customer needs and drive sales growth.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related selling experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior building materials industry experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and to work with customers to meet needs.

Responsibilities

• Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads and sources.
• Regularly travels throughout assigned territory with outside Sales Representative to call on customers or discuss sales.
• Displays or demonstrates product using samples or catalog and emphasizes salable features.
• Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts.
• Estimates delivery dates based on production and delivery schedules.
• Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.
• Tracks stock levels and enters new customer data into the system.
• Resolves customer problems with deliveries and attends trade shows.
