Job summary

The Restaurant Store is seeking a Sales, Strategy & Planning Intern to gain hands-on exposure to day-to-day operations within a retail branch. You will contribute to high levels of customer service and satisfaction by aligning sales, purchasing, and inventory activities with customer needs.

As part of the team, you will support relationship-building, product knowledge, and store merchandising while promoting our private label brands and the Brick and Click model.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with our customer base and perform B2B sales in a retail branch context.
• Follow the TRS process: build brand awareness, assess needs, exceed expectations, and build loyalty.
• Assist with basic cashier duties and loading products into customer vehicles.
• Maintain store cleanliness and merchandising, restock shelves, and organize stock.
• Analyze basic inventory data to gauge product availability and replenishment needs.
• Promote private label brands to maximize gross profit.
• Educate customers on our Brick and Click model and competitive advantages.

Job Summary

The Sales, Strategy & Planning Intern with The Restaurant Store will gain a day-to-day operations perspective in a retail branch environment and become a contributor to a high level of customer service and satisfaction. The Sales, Strategy, & Planning Intern will achieve a variety of operational goals through effective customer service strategies that align with the goals of our sales, purchasing, and inventory teams.

• Conduct business-to-business sales and customer service with a focus on building and developing relationship with our customer base
• Execute on our proven TRS process: 1) build brand awareness, 2) assess customer’s needs, 3) exceed expectations, and 4) build loyalty
• Perform basic cashier functions and loading products into customer vehicles
• Perform general store maintenance through cleaning and merchandising functions, while also restocking shelves and putting away incoming stock
• Analyze basic inventory information to determine product availability and re-order status
• Promote our private label brands to maximize TRS gross profit
• Educate prospective customers on our competitive advantages (best people, best technology, and best price)
• Possess and maintain a thorough understanding of our website and educate customers on how to best-utilize our “Brick and Click” business model
