Sales Specialist - Large Motors & Generators

Position Reporting To

Regional President of Large Motors & Generators

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for selling products, systems, and services within a designated market/division, aligned with the division strategy. Your daily goals include achieving qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable growth in orders, revenue, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also identify and develop new sales opportunities.

The work model for this role is: #LI - Remote

This position contributes to the Motion Large Motors & Generators Division in the US.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Sell products, systems, and services to customers, focusing on volume, mix, and profitability targets, while providing a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
  2. Establish and maintain effective customer relationships to understand their needs, promote ABB's offerings, and align solutions accordingly.
  3. Prepare sales plans using authorized tools, conduct regular reviews, and propose recovery plans for potential shortfalls.
  4. Create value for both the customer and ABB by ensuring successful transactions, contracts, and proposals, communicating delivery, payment, and terms clearly.
  5. Support marketing activities and identify new market opportunities within the designated segment.
  6. Manage administrative procedures related to sales, support data collection and project management activities, and prepare offers in coordination with the bid/proposal team and Marketing Manager, ensuring technical and financial accuracy.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with at least 5+ years of related experience.
  • Previous experience in sales and account management.
  • Familiarity with Sales Force.
  • Willingness to travel 30-35%.
  • Must have work authorization to work in the US for ABB.
