Sales Specialist - Large Motors & Generators

Reporting Line

This position reports to the Regional President of Large Motors & Generators.

Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for selling products, systems, and services within a designated market/division, aligned with the division strategy. Your daily focus will be on achieving qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable growth in orders, revenue, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also identify and develop new sales opportunities.

The work model for this role is: #LI - Remote

This role contributes to the Motion Large Motors & Generators Division in the US.

You will mainly be accountable for:

  • Selling products, systems, and services to customers, focusing on volume, mix, and profitability targets, while ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand their needs and promote ABB's complete product and service offerings, aligning solutions accordingly.
  • Preparing sales plans using authorized tools, conducting regular reviews, and proposing recovery plans if needed.
  • Creating value for both the customer and ABB through successful transactions, contracts, and proposals, while communicating delivery times, payments, and terms in line with ABB's strategy.
  • Supporting marketing activities and identifying new market opportunities within the designated segment.
  • Managing administrative procedures in sales processes, supporting data collection and project management, and preparing offers in collaboration with the bid and proposal team or Marketing Manager, ensuring technical and financial accuracy.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with at least 5+ years of related experience.
  • Previous experience in sales and account management.
  • Familiarity with Sales Force.
  • Willingness to travel 30-35%.
  • Must have current work authorization to work in the US for ABB.
