How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Position Title: Sales Specialist - Healthcare & Specialty Gas

Travel percentage: 60%-80% within territory

The Healthcare Sales Specialist sells medical gases, products, and services to healthcare and life science establishments within a specific geographic area, serving as a subject matter expert to both internal and external customers. The Sales Specialist is responsible for developing and executing regional company-specific medical and specialty gas marketing plans and supporting the Region in this capacity.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Increasing sales and profit margins by presenting the company's various medical product lines and specialty gases to new prospects and existing customers, explaining & demonstrating Airgas's products and services to provide solutions tailored to customer needs.
  2. Developing and implementing customer-specific marketing plans based on industry or trade factors.
  3. Preparing sales proposals and contracts, quoting pricing, credit terms, and delivery estimates based on knowledge of production and delivery schedules.
  4. Supporting other Airgas sales professionals with product and industry training, customer presentations, and recommendations.
  5. Monitoring competition through research and gathering marketplace information.
  6. Resolving customer concerns by investigating issues, developing solutions, and making recommendations to management.
  7. Maintaining daily activity logs in CRM and preparing results reports and territory analyses.
  8. Suggesting improvements in processes, procedures, products, and policies by staying informed on market and vendor developments.
  9. Performing other duties as assigned.
Are you a MATCH?
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field, or up to 4 years of additional sales experience in lieu of degree.
  • At least 3 years of solution-driven sales experience, preferably in industrial and medical gases.
  • Strong relationship management and consultative selling skills.
  • Ability to target accounts and achieve results.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Google applications and SAP.
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure, and with frequent travel (up to 60%).
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and ability to visit various sites with varying conditions.
  • Physical ability to lift/move up to 60 pounds occasionally.
  • Salary Range: $70,000-$80,000 plus commission.
