Job summary

Colonial Materials, Inc. in Charlotte seeks a Sales Specialist to enhance transactional experiences and support customers and outside sales professionals with product knowledge, pricing, ERP logic, and collaboration with operations.

You will drive sales targets, train on sales tools, and engage in occasional field calls with reps and managers, aiming to grow customer loyalty and revenue.

Qualifications

• 3 years sales experience within the industry preferred.
• Ability to self-manage, show initiative and be proactive.
• Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing to coworkers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Enhancing relationships with customers.
• Subject matter expert for the sales cycle and resources.
• Monitor market trends and provide insights for strategy and product enhancements.
• Utilize ERP, Maxrecall, DQ and portal tools to support sales processes.
• Advise on appropriate products for GC and customer applications.
• Collaborate with Inside/Outside Sales and Sales Managers on approaches.
• Possibly perform outside calls; may require in-person meetings.
• Cold call prospective opportunities: GCs, drywall contractors, owners, developers.
• Showcase product performance to influence buying decisions.
• Maintain accounts to drive repeat business and loyalty.
• Participate in training sessions to improve product knowledge.
• Achieve sales targets and adapt plans to meet revenue goals.
