Job summary

Lowe’s in Mount Vernon, Ohio is hiring a Sales Specialist to engage customers, discuss project needs, and turn ideas into realities. You’ll become a product expert, explaining specs, promotions, and financing options to close sales. Depending on needs, roles span Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Millwork, and more.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED.
• One year of customer-facing sales experience or Lowe’s retail experience (or equivalent external experience).
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Ability to stand and sit for prolonged periods; lift 25 lbs.
• Sales-related licensure or registration if required by state; Lowe’s will support.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding needs and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as the point of contact for customers and vendors, handling estimates and orders.
• If in Pro, focus on external accounts and outside sales.
• Monitor inventory and coordinate with vendors/stores to reorder stock.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support checkout functions and assist colleagues as needed.
