Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies is seeking a Customer Service Representative who will build ongoing business relationships with customers, using expert assistance to resolve questions and problems during equipment breakdowns.

You will assist by phone and in person, clarify needs, research options, and, once up to speed, recommend parts while striving to meet monthly sales goals and boost customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 6 months of customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent telephone and written skills, including English grammar.
• Ability and desire to learn new systems and processes quickly.
• Enjoys working with computers, including basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook & Excel) and comfortable with Google search engine.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record (MVR).
• SAP / ERP experience, preferred but not required.
• Some knowledge of industrial distribution products and hydraulics, preferred but not required.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, ability to multitask, sense of humor.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers by phone and in person at our facility.
• Clarify needs, do research, and, after getting up to speed, recommend parts.
• Meet / exceed monthly sales goals while increasing customer satisfaction.
• Process quotes, take orders and provide post-order service.
