OVERVIEW
The Sales & Service Manager is a key member of the store leadership team, responsible for executing Alo’s business and guest experience strategies. The role involves driving sales, enhancing guest experience, and developing talent to embody Alo’s values. The manager ensures exceptional guest service, maintains store cleanliness and safety, and supports operational efficiency through active engagement on the sales floor and back of house.

  • Investigate sales opportunities and collaborate with the General Manager to address process or system gaps.
  • Lead the Sales & Service team to deliver outstanding guest experiences, including guest connection and product education, through coaching and feedback.
  • Build and maintain client relationships daily.
  • Ensure proper sales floor coverage and lead sales initiatives.
  • Partner with the General Manager to develop and implement the store’s Sales & Service strategy.

BUSINESS LEADERSHIP

  • Represent the store in meetings and conference calls alongside the General Manager.
  • Monitor and manage budgets, reports, and key metrics like expenses and sell-through rates, supporting planning processes.
  • Plan for future business needs to maintain optimal performance.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

  • Ensure the team embodies Alo’s mission and principles, communicating effectively with guests.
  • Lead through accountability, coaching, talent development, and effective communication.
  • Develop internal and external talent pipelines through succession planning and recruitment.
  • Create schedules aligned with business priorities in partnership with the General Manager.

BUSINESS PARTNERING

  • Oversee implementation of the Alo Sales and Service Model to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners and align with the General/Store Manager’s vision.
  • Balance business needs with brand culture navigation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years in retail or related leadership roles.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong work ethic, time management, and accountability.
  • Physical ability to move throughout the store, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform related tasks.

SCHEDULE & AVAILABILITY

Full-time employees should be available for opening, closing, and weekend shifts, including during the holiday blackout period from Thanksgiving week through early January.
