Job summary

Excellus BCBS is offering a 10-week paid Summer College Internship Program in Rochester, NY. Interns gain hands-on experience across commercial markets with mentorship, development workshops, and exposure to sales operations, analytics, and customer experience.

The program includes a capstone project and opportunities to explore both technical and non-technical tracks. Interns work up to 40 hours per week from early June through late August, with no housing provided.

Qualifications

• Majors/ Degree Programs include Business, Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, Data Analytics, Psychology, Organizational Leadership or similar.
• Preferred experience in healthcare, employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, sales operations, customer experience, or business strategy.
• Experience creating presentations, conducting research, analyzing survey results, or leading projects through coursework, internships, student organizations, or employment.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Salesforce, Microsoft Copilot, or AI-enabled tools is preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, professionalism, and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support key strategic initiatives across the Commercial Markets Sales and Account Service organization.
• Gain exposure to health insurance, sales operations, account management, customer experience, and business analytics.
• Collaborate with Sales, Account Service, Marketing, Training, and Leadership on various projects.
• Deliver a capstone project presenting recommendations to leadership on sales effectiveness, onboarding, and resource accessibility.
