Sales Representative – Eastern Missouri/Southern Illinois
Remote – must live within the territory.

ADM Animal Nutrition, a division of Archer Daniels Midland Company and a leader in the commercial feed industry, has an immediate opening for a proven sales leader in the Eastern Missouri/Southern Illinois sales territory.

Detailed responsibilities include:

  • A strong knowledge of beef nutrition is required. Knowledge of other species is a plus. The territory is diverse.
  • Develop strategic prospecting plans to sell to sustainable livestock producers and feed dealers.
  • Regularly contact customers and prospects; develop and maintain positive relationships.
  • Achieve revenue, tonnage, market share, and product mix targets as directed.
  • Provide nutritional and management consultation to enhance profitability.
  • Ration balancing may be required.
  • Assist feed dealers in marketing strategy development and execution to grow market share.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or applicable experience; industry knowledge; management and feeding practices; computer literacy; livestock feed formulation/ration balancing proficiency; strong agricultural business aptitude.
  • Prior sales experience and success in developing new accounts are a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Residency within the territory; comfortable working around livestock and farm machinery; valid driver’s license; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; able to work in on-farm conditions.

ADM requires successful completion of a background check.

The pay range is expected to be between $51,600 and $96,400, depending on factors like experience and location. Overtime pay applies for qualifying hours.

This is an at-will employment position; pay and benefits are subject to change.
