Responsible for successfully bidding and securing modernization contracts and developing and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers. This role is essential in ensuring modernization and/or H-Power jobs are completed profitably while driving branch annual revenue goals.
Essential Job Functions
- Collaborate with architects, general contractors, TKE operations team, consultants, building managers, and owners in pre-bidding activities for modernization jobs.
- Maintain strong knowledge of company products through training, factory manuals, and supplier information, including local elevator code requirements.
- Create quoting and bidding packages by obtaining blueprints, attending job walks, and conducting onsite surveys; review specs and labor requirements with operations to ensure profitability.
- Demonstrate technical knowledge of H-Power features and determine customer needs to develop sales strategies.
- Present bids to customers, explaining cost factors and emphasizing construction, performance, durability, and equipment appearance.
- Partner with operations to negotiate the Scope of Work (SOW) and collaborate with contract administration, sales support, and legal as required.
- Develop capital plans for customers to address short- and long-term building needs.
- Coordinate submittal packages through the approval process and create change orders as requested upon customer acceptance.
- Visit project sites and attend customer meetings to ensure needs and deadlines are met.
- Use the Customer Relations Management (CRM) tool to update and manage the sales pipeline.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum six years of business-to-business sales experience.
- Strong attention to detail with proactive follow-up skills.
- Demonstrated success in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding ability to build and nurture relationships with customers, team members, and cross-functional colleagues.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Salesforce experience (preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings (preferred).
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $88,200 – $114,700. The role offers a car allowance, fuel card, and monthly commission program.
